"...All in all, I'm enthusiastic about Windows 7. If for no other reason than that it is faster and far less annoying than its predecessor. Faster is an obvious benefit (in our tests the same computers booted an average 50 percent faster with Win 7 than with Vista). Less annoying may not seem that impressive, but it is the most admirable thing about Windows 7—it's far from perfect, but for the most part, it gets out of the way and lets you get down to work. "
try it today. it's great. I had vista for about 4 months before flipping over to the Win 7 beta. i've since tried three newer Win 7 builds all of which have got progressively better than the last.

win7 window + tab handling = epic
still no idea why the fuck it doesn't include mouse gestures though. opera has had them for 3 years already.

they had that in vista too.
i mean that you can single click and all tabs splay out from the taskbar, with thumbnails. and you can close the thumbnails. vista had that?

Running a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64, so far pretty good a step up from vista. I still prefer XP though.

If MS OS's were body parts, Vista would be a pimply fat ass, while Windows 7 would be nice curvy one.

kaspersky, oxide.
i don't run A/V but i put AVG on my girlfriend's PC.
I signed up for the pilot program of Win 7 @ work.. I can't WAIT to get off XP. That way i'll only have stable n speedy os's at home/work. Mac OS X for DJ biz, Win 7 on my media center. Win 7 64 @ work.

Yeah. I don't see this happening though for end users or even most companies. A 64bit CPU is more then good for many years to come and we still can't max it out. Who knows when 16EiB of memory will not be enough? That's a fuckton.
If windows 8 did have support for 128bit it would be more of a testing ground and gravel pathway to windows 9 which has "full" support of it.
Honestly, I don't even think windows xp/vista/7 64bit version has unlocked the full potential of using x86-64 architecture.

Does anyone happen to know how Tracktor w/ Audio 4/8 works with Windows 7?
Vista was brutal with getting that to work.
